My wife and I fished the afternoon on January 30th, 2025 with Captain Ryan with Red Fin. With 3 hours of fishing in one of Capt. Ryans special spots on the Ashley River just 5 minutes from the dock, we caught and released 23 red fish measuring from 25 to 35 inches. The boat was splendid with all the latest goodies. This was the best fishing trip ever!
A couple buddies and I took a sea duck trip with Captain Daniel this past week and were very impressed. All of us have been duck hunting 15+ years all around the country, this is a top notch experience!
Absolutely Amazing!! We are from Michigan and here in SC for Christmas break and my daughter out of the blue asked if we could go fishing. Being New Years Eve and same day I thought there is no way I’ll be able to book something. I called, talked to Tanner (very friendly). An hour later my daughter and I were getting on the boat with Captain Bill. We absolutely smashed the fish! My 17 daughter caught 23 fish in 4 hours and I caught 19! Bill was extremely helpful and patient with helping and coaching my daughter. We caught some absolutely beautiful Redfish, Black Drum, Sheepshead and speckled trout. I highly recommend you call Redfin Charters and plan your adventure right away!

My wife and I traveled to Charleston for our anniversary. We booked a 4 hour trip with captain Daniel literally last minute (2hours before take off) and he was able to accommodate. Not only that but we hammered reds and speckled trout! It was an unreal experience and Daniel’s knowledge of the water that late in the day was paramount in our success. We had a great morning out on the water with Captain Bill yesterday. Conditions weren't ideal, but he found us several good spots where we hauled in trout, redfish, and black drum. Tonight, we feast!

Captian Bill was awesome! We caught plenty of redfish. My grandson caught a 29” redfish which made it all worth while. In total we caught between 25 and 30 fish on a very cold day.

Daniel, our captain, took us out on an inland/ near-shore fishing excursion. It was a bit chilly this am but the water was calm. Daniel knew the ideal spot near Sullivan's Island. We loaded up with redfish, sheepshead, and trout. Five of us on board. Everyone caught at least six fish. He then cleaned our catch and referred us to a local restaurant where we had our own fresh caught fish for lunch. It was an outstanding excursion.

Fished with Cpt. Pat Person for red fish on a beautiful Sunday morning. The fishing was hard but the conversation easy. Pat worked hard to get me on fish and turned and easy sunday morning into a great experience. This was my first trip for reds and got me "hooked."Having fished with many guides in many places i would send my friends to Pat for a great experience.

What an incredible experience! Captain Bill was fantastic, suggesting we adjust our trip hours to accommodate the extreme tide conditions, which made all the difference. Everyone had a blast, and our youngest, at just 12 years old, even landed a massive Red Drum—almost 2 feet long! His patience and inclusive nature made the outing even more enjoyable. Captain Bill also shared valuable insights about the area and fishing techniques. I highly recommend this trip for anyone looking for a memorable fishing adventure!
We went fishing with Justin in October. Charleston in October, the winds can be strong and constant. Our excursion we booked with Redfin Charters was a near shore excursion.The day prior, Justin gave us a call giving us a heads up about the weather. He was more than willing to accommodate us and our wishes, but he was very clear about the possibility of weather and how rough the waters could be. As we spoke, we had several options that he offered us to try to make our day happen. We knew that this decision would be made the day of.The next day, Redfin tried to call us to let us know about the winds. A near shore excursion was not possible due to the winds. Justin had several options or alternatives for us and he was doing everything he could to provide us with the day we were hoping for. Those options were, in shore excursion, book another day (which was not a guarantee due to weather) or a refund. Justin was more than obliging to us. We chose to do an in shore excursion. Up to this point, Justin was fantastic in doing everything he could to provide us with what we were hoping for.From that point, Justin continued to shine and show his expert knowledge. Justin had complete control, his knowledge of the area and where the fish were going to be, but also his visual awareness of the fish were no short of fantastic! Justin's expertise in our opinion was clearly there!Furthermore, spending time with Justin, guiding us and showing us what to do when we wanted to be more hands on was great. Justin was very easy to communicate with and he took extra time with my son who was excited, but learning how to fish.We know we will be back to Charleston since we have family in the area. When we come back, we would love to do a near shore or an outer shore excursion. Justin, I promise you, you will be our first and only phone call! I am guessing I have done no less than 15 fishing excursions. Justin is top notch and was worth every bit of what we spent and to be honest, the pricing was very fair.For those of you that will read this, I mean this with full sincerity, I have the utmost trust in his decision making as a captain and we look forward to going out with him in the future!Godspeed sir and be safe out there! Went out for a 1/2 day with Captain Bill today and let me tell ya, we couldn’t take the fish off the hooks as fast as these boys were reeling them in. Appreciate you putting us on the meat Captain Bill!! What a blast, we’ll be back for another trip for sure!!
Today we went out with Captain Dillon and had a blast!! As soon as the first line was thrown we had a fish on the line, followed by another and brought 2 in right away! That was the start of a great day on the water! Dillon knew what he was doing and helped us to have an amazing day! I definitely recommend this charter! We love living here in the low country and will use Redfin Charters again for sure!!
An amazing trip with RedFin Charters and Capt. Bill! Capt. Bill took us out of Charleston to the jetty’s to fish for Sheepshead, something my father in law has always wanted to catch. He was gracious and explained his strategy and thought process behind what we were doing - something many guides don’t do.You can’t guarantee the fish will bite, but Capt Bill did all he could to help us have a successful trip - 9 total fish, 5 keepers and another 5-8 misses that were our fault. We had a great time and will certainly book again. Request Capt. Bill!
My sales team chartered with Red Fin Charters and we couldn’t have been happier. We chartered three boats on what wound up being a blustery and cooler than expected day but still caught plenty of fish from 14” (just under the size to keep) to nearly 30” (well over the size to keep) and plenty of fish in between. We opted for lunch on a nearby island where our team was fed a delicious low country boil and given a chance to relax and socialize before getting back on the water. Captain Rusty was my boat’s captain and he was extremely social, patient, gracious, and shared his love and experience of fishing with all of us on his boat. I look forward to booking a return trip for me and my son in the fall.
Absolutely fantastic way to spend a Friday with friends. Captain Wilson was incredible, got us on the fish, and kept us geared and fishing all morning. The sea trout, sheepshead, and flounder were fun but the reds were memorable. Great fight! Cheers to the whole team, we'll be back.
My dad and I made our maiden voyage to Charleston in late October to fish and eat our way through the city. The team at RedFin Charters came highly recommended through my research and were excellent, very communicative in the days and hours leading to our departure and helpful in making our overall experience memorable. I can’t always say that for previous fishing trips to other places. We had two super fun days with guides Rusty and Wilson zipping around the low country waters. Lot’s of calm waters, tight lines and pictures of our catches! They were also super helpful in helping us find restaurants where locals dine and sharing insight into who would cook up your fresh catch. We certainly intended to return next year, perhaps with the best fisher person in our family, my mom. When the time comes I’ll certainly text both gentlemen to ensure we have their time reserved.
